RPA: Flexible, cost-effective automation Ventiv RPA (robotic process automation) is a flexible, cost-effective way to enhance operational efficiency, improve customer service, and shore up an organization's competitive position. Claim organizations using Ventiv RPA automate tasks that require a great deal of manual, repetitive work: gathering external data; pointing-and-clicking; typing; double entry of information; values checking; and the like. Ventiv RPA integrates Ventiv Claims with virtually any kind of application: websites, email systems, word- processing applications, PDF readers, spreadsheets, and even specialized legacy systems. Claims organizations use Ventiv RPA for processes including: » Document image assignment: In many claims organizations, adjusters spend valuable time reviewing images (including scanned documents such as invoices and claim correspondence) and assigning them to a claim. With Ventiv RPA, bots review documents and, using optical-character recognition (OCR), identify the relevant identifiers that link a document to a claim. » Straight-through claim processing: Based on the criteria established by the claim organization, Ventiv RPA processes claims for straight-through processing and closure. This kind of claim processing is especially useful for low-cost, medical-only claims. » Automated claims assignment: Ventiv RPA can automatically assign claims based on a claims organization's specific rules. Claims can be assigned to factor in the adjuster's current caseload; the claimant's and adjuster's zip code; the adjuster's availability based on vacation time scheduled or other absences; and/or the claimant's primary language.
