360º | Aon eSolutions 2 9 would enhance Corio's insurance programs while improving productivity. "The complexities of our insurance programs, with multiple stakeholders, meant it was difficult to visualize how the solution would look and work once implemented," says Van Bijleveld-Tijsseling. "Aon eSolutions was very good at explaining and demonstrating the system, and we're now beginning to see the results of all this hard work." RESULTS Although Corio is still rolling out the solution across its European business units, Van Bijleveld-Tijsseling already points to a very important benefit: "Our business units can now access information around the clock, every day of the year. RiskConsole contains everything, so data can be quickly entered at the field level. This gives me up-to-date insights into all of our exposures and levels of insurance for specific properties." Another benefit is the newfound ability to get up-to-the-minute insights into all the claims made by or against Corio. Says Van Bijleveld- Tijsseling, "Only last year, I wouldn't have had ready access to that kind of information. Today, with RiskConsole, I can see the severity and frequency instantly and plan for how we can reduce and eliminate risks." A third advantage Van Bijleveld-Tijsseling and Corio have realized from RiskConsole relates to collecting insurance renewals information and keeping property data and valuations up to date. "Before RiskConsole," says Van Bijleveld-Tijsseling, "I had to extract information from large spreadsheets, send it to the business units and wait for the data to come back. Aon eSolutions has made it so that my colleagues at the local level can now log in to the same system and enter data at any time. This means that I spend less time collating data, which saves considerable time and, therefore, money." Looking ahead, Van Bijleveld-Tijsseling also expects to see a positive impact in insurance premiums by being able to present more comprehensive risk information to insurance carriers. What's more, says Van Bijleveld- Tijsseling, "I'll also be able to make informed decisions on whether we should invest in insurance cover or retain the risk ourselves." THE FUTURE By the beginning of 2013, Van Bijleveld- Tijsseling intends to have all six business units using RiskConsole. Given the expected improvements delivered by the implementation of Aon RiskConsole in terms of efficiencies and time savings, Van Bijleveld-Tijsseling will, in the near future, focus on the reporting functionality to, as she says, "provide more timely information to senior management and assist in decision- making about, for example, if and when to take provisions or insure risks and where to invest in the development and redevelopment of shopping centers in Europe." "From one system, we could then see all our exposures, risk assessments and claims, without having to look at several different pieces of paper and files." EXPOSURE CLAIMS RISK ASSESSMENT
