360º | Aon eSolutions 1 7 By opening an EU data center in Dublin, Aon eSolutions is not only getting out ahead of forthcoming new EU data protection requirements, but also anticipating what we expect to be a growing volume of EU and global businesses in need of a secure, fully accountable and high-performing cloud solution for their risk, insurance and safety management applications and data. The Dublin data center will duplicate the rigorous controls and processes in place at the Aon eSolutions data center opened in Atlanta in 2011 while keeping data stored where our clients require it. The Dublin data center will also feature the same industry leading technology infrastructure and hardware in place at the Atlanta data center. GATHERING STEAM: iVOS CLIENTS MAKING THE MOVE TO RIScloud Since RIScloud went online in 2011, a steady flow of iVOS clients have made the switch from on-premises hosting of their application and data to RIScloud hosting. (Please see page 8 for a client case study featuring the University of Colorado's story of its move to RIScloud hosting of its iVOS application and claims data.) At present, one-third of iVOS clients are now using RIScloud hosting. iVOS clients on RIScloud run the full spectrum of profiles, from a client with two users to clients with several hundred users and full internal IT support. Moving to RIScloud hosting allows iVOS clients to get the best value from their investment in the claims administration system. Clients on RIScloud can be assured that they are: » Using the latest, consistent iVOS release across the client base, which facilitates upgrades and service needs; » Covered by RIScloud's comprehensive disaster-recovery systems and processes; » Enjoying cost-efficiencies with regular payments as opposed to costly, periodic hardware and supporting software upgrades; and » Avoiding the costs of upgrading in- house hardware and related non-iVOS software every three to five years For iVOS clients considering a move from on-premises hosting to RIScloud hosting, the cost of the transition typically equals a small fraction of annual iVOS expenses. Once hosted on RIScloud, iVOS is a cost-effective hosted application. NEW RIScloud OFFERINGS: AON RISK OFFICE (ARO) Aon Risk Office, or ARO, will launch soon and be available to all Aon clients, including clients of Aon eSolutions. In today's high-speed, high-volume world of information delivery, cutting through the clutter to the information that matters most to you is a critical demand Aon has identified over the course of extensive interviews with existing clients. ARO is a cutting-edge portal-style offering through which clients can receive information from both Aon and external sources; what sets ARO apart from other portals is the sophisticated intelligence engine that users configure to receive information that they want and need. Users can select from a wide variety of criteria in setting their preferences, including industries, sectors, risk-related topics and geographies of interest to the client. Moreover, the intelligence engine will also apply each user's individual usage in customizing content delivered. ARO will also offer clients numerous dashboards and apps through which to track their specific risk and insurance data. Online forums and message boards, where clients can share best practices and network with their peers, will also be a prominent feature of ARO. ARO will be the first portal of its kind in the risk, insurance and safety industry in that it offers the fullest range of content, information and access to Aon resources available. Aon executive management is fully committed to ARO as a foundational resource for clients and has deployed considerable resources to its development. THE DUBLIN DATA CENTER WILL DUPLICATE THE RIGOROUS CONTROLS AND PROCESSES IN PLACE AT THE AON eSOLUTIONS DATA CENTER OPENED IN ATLANTA IN 2011 WHILE KEEPING DATA STORED WHERE OUR CLIENTS REQUIRE IT. THE DUBLIN DATA CENTER WILL ALSO FEATURE THE SAME INDUSTRY LEADING TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE AND HARDWARE IN PLACE AT THE ATLANTA DATA CENTER.
