STANDARD CONTRACT FORMS
Contract compliance has become a sticking point in many
IRM and patient safety projects. It's best to know if there are
significant areas of variance between your organization's
contract standards and those of your potential vendors.
Concurrent with your evaluation process, it's a good practice
to secure copies of each vendor's standard contract forms
and submit those to your Contracts or Legal staff and
perhaps even your IT staff for review and comment. Many
chief information officers and their teams are developing
very strong technical contract requirements for any third-
party software vendors, so their assessment can be critical.
