Guests not registered to attend the Conference may be added for $125. 1:00pm–4:00pm Pre-Conference Activities The Art Institute of Chicago The Art Institute of Chicago is a world-renowned art museum housing one of the largest permanent collections in the United States. An encyclopedic museum, the Art Institute collects, preserves, and displays works in every medium from all cultures and historical periods as well as hosts special exhibitions. With a collection of more than 260,000 artworks and artifacts, the museum has particularly strong holdings in Impressionist and Post- Impressionist painting, early twentieth-century European painting and sculpture, contemporary art, Japanese prints, and photography. Guest not registered to attend the Conference may be added for $25. 1:30pm–3:30pm Pre-Conference Activities Chicago Architectural River Cruise Get the real story on Chicago architecture and its history. A "must" for out-of-towners and Chicagoans alike. Throughout the 90 minute cruise a professional docent will present more than 50 skyscrapers, bascule bridges, and historic sites along the Chicago River, revealing how the city grew from a small back-country outpost into one of the world's most important crossroads in less than 100 years. Guest not registered to attend the Conference may be added for $35. 1:00pm–4:00pm Pre-Conference Training Note – there is no additional fee for this training but attendees should bring their own laptop.
